During the ”Year of The Garden Dormouse”, the ”Mammal Association” (De Zoogdiervereniging) wanted to create more awareness about the most endangered mammal in the Netherlands, the garden dormouse. One intention of this year of awareness was to capture high-quality images of the garden dormouse in the Netherlands for the first time. This was my task and for this I spent weeks searching for this rare animal in the forests in the south of The Netherlands. Ultimately I managed to get footage of this beautiful animal and this generated a lot of attention in national news channels.
